Programs

 

 

• Book Club

 

The book club is designed to bring women, young and old, together for the purpose of fellowship, self expression, and literary enlightenment. I.E.W. Book Club meetings are filled with excitement and energy. Those who have attended stated that they have gained, insight, direction, and have learned practical application for everyday living. Most importantly, they have gained new friends and associates, while discovering their new found passion for the written word.

 

 

• Women In Position

 

A coalition of women leaders comprised of, First Ladies, Pastors, Ministers, Business Owners, and Elected Officials from different denominations, ethnicities, and geographical areas united together to make an impact on a larger scale.

 

WIP members meet monthly and are dedicated and committed to stir, strengthen, support each other, serve their community, and address pertinent issues that affect women and the nation. One annual project is, “The Reflection Of Hope Prayer Breakfast Honoring and Supporting our Military and their Families.”

 

The goal is to provide the sponsored military their families, with gift certificates, and gift bags full of gifts, supplies, and products. In addition they receive holiday-meal boxes and care packages sent to soldiers deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

 

 

• Gems to Jewels Mentorship Program

 

Gems to Jewels Mentorship Program” is a 12-week program for young girls ages 12-18 that promotes self worth by providing important life skills information needed for their future success.

 

The mentorship program pairs young girls from the community, local schools, group homes, and foster care, with adult and young adult women mentors that walk with them through the workshops and assist them as they grow in knowledge and wisdom.

 

The workshops are held on Saturdays and taught by trained professionals, volunteers, counselors, and mentors. To culminate the event and as a reward for those who completed the classes, the girls will attend an overnight retreat with mentors, counselors, and special invited celebrity guests, as well as a graduation ceremony.

• Women on Welness (WOW)

 

      Another outreach component of I’m Every Woman is Women on Wellness, “A Passport To Health”. Women on Wellness are free medical seminars & workshops designed to address the pertinent health issues that plague our nation. Conducted by Doctors, and other Accredited and Licensed Health Care Professionals, Women on Wellness provides an opportunity for women and their families to receive vital information, tangible resources, and medical attention.


      IEW Women On Wellness has received accommodations from Barbara Perkin’s Sisters at the Well “WE See You Awards”, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Councilwoman Yvonne Burke and other state and local officials. Women on Wellness has also formed partnerships with Jenesse Center for Domestic Violence, and Kaiser Permanente as well as received grants from such organizations as Susan G. Komen For the Cure, and World Vision.
